Founded in 1937 by restaurateurs who gathered to discuss issues Houston restaurants faced, the Greater Houston Restaurant Association (a Texas Restaurant Association chapter) has grown to become Texas’ largest local restaurant association. Today, the industry’s 3,900 area restaurants and their nearly 60,000 employees make the Houston dining scene one of the most diverse and dynamic in the country.
Houston is a town that celebrates food and Houstonians have elevated our unique food culture to national attention.
